Who are we? What do we believe?
We are a Christ-centered church with the mission of nurturing the saved and reaching out to the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that by it, every man who will submit to its commands can be reconciled back to God. Only through reconciliation will one become a Christian. We believe that Christ alone is the head of His church.
God's Plan of Salvation
Of all the things we can learn in this life, nothing is more important than God's plan for man's salvation. To know that we have the right plan, we dare not trust in man, but only in the word of God!
Listed below are scriptures that sustain what we understand the Bible teaches about salvation and service to God. Please read them for yourself, obey God's word and be saved.
1. Hear the gospel: John 5:24; Acts 15:7; Romans 10:17; Revelation 3:20
2. Believe: Mark 16:16; John 3:16-18; John 11:25-26; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10; Hebrews 11:6; 1 Peter 1:8-9
3. Repent of your sins: Luke 13:3-5; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30; 2 Corinthians 7:10; 2 Peter 3:9
4. Confess Christ: Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Timothy 2:19; 1 John 1:9
5. Baptism for the remission of sins: Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16; John 3:5; Acts 2:38-41; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-5; Galatians 3:26-27; Titus 3:5-7; 1 Peter 3:18-22; 1 John 5:5-12
If you will obey this plan, then God will add you to the Church. After which, Rev. 2:10 exhorts us to "Live faithfully, even unto death...." Contact us if you need help finding the church of Christ nearest you.
Our ministries - How we do what we do.
University
We’re located within ten minutes of seven colleges and universities. We welcome students and stand ready to help in any way we can. When you’re miles from home and surrounded by worldly influences, it’s nice to know there’s a connection to the values that are close to home. We offer Bible studies on campus, and a campus ride program to ensure students stay connected to God even when they’re miles from home.
Youth
Our Youth Ministry has always been a strong part of the Ramsey Street program. Not only are our young people given Bible training, but they are also given the chance to use that training in their community. Our elementary-, middle-, junior high-, and senior high-school-aged youth spend time together every Sunday afternoon visiting the sick. Our aim is to help them discover new ways to show God’s love through service.
Sisters
The sisters of the Ramsey Street Church of Christ recognize that God has a work for them, and they stand ready and willing to heed His call through dilligent study of the scriptures and willing obedience to His will.
Singles
We believe that God has a plan and purpose for every member of the Body of Christ. Our Singles Ministry is geared toward helping each of our members find their role in the body.
Technology
We offer members and the community we serve access to a wealth of knowledge online through our “wireless community center”, ClearPath. Students use our wireless network for homework, job seekers and entrepreneurs for research, and everyone else just to stay informed and in touch. The best part of it all, God receives the glory for this ministry that embraces the technologies that have become part of everyday life.
